A Classic Rachael The Ginger Move

Hello gingers! I just spilt water on myself and I'm going to walk you step by step on how that happened.

Sometimes I think I have ADD and other times I REALLY THINK I have ADD because of how distracted I can get so fast. It's kind of ridiculous.

I'm like thinking of one thing and then I think of another and I forget what I'm going to say all the time. I flub words and I do really stupid things just because I'm not paying attention and I don't know what I'm doing.

I think here at Ginger Rebellion HQ we need terminology for these type of things. I'm going to start calling them ginger moves. The slyness that being a ginger is and then freaking messing it all up.

Well I just spilled some water on myself and I'm going to tell you why. It's a riveting story, I know.

So I tipped my cup full of water back to take a drink while I was watching a video.

I was fully intending to drink that water that I tipped back out of the cup. I fully intended for that water to go down my throat and to be absorbed by the body so I could live.

In that process I seriously forgot that I was drinking water and that I needed to swallow to get that water into my body so the water came spilling out and onto my shirt.

I looked like a complete idiot. Ginger move.

Now for our "cool thing on the internet thing" for today I have this. It's not okay for younger views but I think this is one of the most hilarious things in the world. Conroy got me hooked on this guy.

Crazy Happenings

Hello gingers! Sometimes, things change in a blink of an eye. Other times things don't seem to ever change.

It's that long slow process that drive's you a little bit crazy. I hate that slow change. Change should be happening quick and unexpectedly. That's what makes life the crazy and beautiful thing that it is.

I'll be talking about what happened yesterday, and I will also be talking about what I was intending to talk about yesterday. And then I think we are going to start a new thing where I will share something funny, or new, that I found on the internet every day before I leave. I think that will make this more of a sharing community.

My mother got sick yesterday so I had to tend to her. That's why I had to leave. Not gonna share any more than that.

So, yesterday I wanted to talk about expectations. For example, because I'm a teenage girl I'm expected to be all skinny and wear make up and do those kinds of things. But I don't do any of that. So I saw some popular girls at the pool on Monday and I had to avoid them a lot. I didn't feel comfortable because I'm not popular. At least I'm not one of THOSE girls if you know what I'm saying. But I felt kind of singled out.

That's all. Just something to think about. What are the expectations that you have to live up to? Do you?

I really don't like the obsession with bacon but that's another rant for another day, but I really like this video!

Coffee At Night Is A Bad Idea

Hello gingers! Guess who just drank a bunch of coffee at 10:30 at night!? This girl!

I've seriously been browsing the interwebs all day, so what I want to do is basically just have today be a day where I share cool/important things to you. I want you guys to see a little bit of what I actually do on the internet. Hint: not much.

Hello gingers! Or rumour has it if you're british.

I can't stay up late tonight so I'm blogging right now. I have to wake up at 3:30 which is coincidentally the time I went to sleep last night. I'm gonna play minecraft for like a half an hour and then I'm going to sleep my heart out.

If you're wondering why I have to wake up at such an ungodly hour, it's because my mom is running her 4th half marathon tomorrow. She usually runs them out of state because she has like sister trips to do it so we usually don't get to see her do it. But now she's running one in Denver so we got to go see it.

Hey, my mom is a race mom now and I have to put up with these things now ;)

It's actually interesting to see how it's become a part of the entire family. I'll explain sometime, maybe.

Minecraft

Hello gingers! Minecraft is consuming my life as you can see from the time that this blog was posted.

I've been working on a sweet house because minecraft crashed so I have to play by myself on single player. What a loner I am.

And I won't even be really playing with anyone all weekend because Sydney is in a cabin all weekend.

What a loner I am.

But I still have minecraft to keep me company. This is the first time I've actually been able to make progress in a game and I'm not going to stop now.

Balloon Cars

Hello gingers! I feel like I've been more antisocial lately, now that I haven't been skyping people as much.

Guys it's a real crisis. I'm not talking to the same people about the same things! And I'm not playing minecraft! Oh my goodness!

But this is the first day in a while that I've been able to break the habit. That's right I'm blogging at a perfectly normal and appropriate time. And I'm caught up on all my videos! And I'm about to shower and do homework!

The days are just hot and cold. I'm either up until midnight trying to get everything done or I'm just hanging around in my room because I don't want to go to sleep. Can't really get a constant schedule. That's who I am though.

I've still got much to do though. Lots of things to do including the balloon cars. We are basically building a car and it's powered by a balloon. I'm not sure how mine is going to work and I'm not even sure if I really care. But were gonna just try. Because that's all that matters. Science.

Math Tests Are Scary

Hello gingers! I kind of have a lot of stuff to do in school lately!

It's the end of the year and we are being put through the hardest stuff. It's ridiculous. I can handle classes like science and in other classes we are just watching movies or doing other fun stuff. It's mainly math that gets me.

Math has always been stressful for me. It's not that I'm bad at it, it's that when I don't understand concepts and things I get really frustrated. It is not a fun time at all.

And because it's the end of the year we have math finals. And they are not fun at all. The tests are really hard and I always think I'm doing better than I actually am. It's a thing you know.

But somehow I will make my way through it. I'm not sure how but I will.

And maybe I'll manage getting a B. That would actually be pretty cool.

Keep Up!

Hello gingers! It's becoming a really bad habit guys. Really bad.

But it's almost the end of the year! And things are getting exciting and I'm just trying to keep up! School has been kind of crazy, youtube has been kind of crazy! Everyone is just getting all wound up!

Vidcon is coming soon and it is my dream to go to it one day. Just to go to vidcon once haha.

But I'm trying my best to keep up with what's going on here but even that is a struggle! But things will get better soon. I know that. It's a little mantra of just knowing that things won't be like this forever. In 5 and a half days it won't be like this. Every minute is getting closer.

Bad Habits

Hello gingers! For the third time I have snuck downstairs to write a blog!

Look what I do for you people! I'm risking my good reputation as the good child for you!

Just to write a blog I have snuck downstairs at 10:30 at night to write this little stupid piece of crap. It's what I do for you people. It's just losing my ipod. I thought it was a bad habit to stay up really late on my ipod just messing around but it's much worse when I have to sneak downstairs!

I just really hope I find my ipod because sneaking downstairs to be on the computer is a really bad habit and if it starts forming, I'm screwed. I just have to keep doing it until the end of the school year. Then I'm going to Hawaii. And then it's summer break! I will have all day to do the crap I want on the internet. No more of this sneaky business.

And later in the summer I will probably have a laptop so problem solved! Woot!

So, Happy Mother's Day! Happy Mother's Day if you are a mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, or someone who is an amazing figure in a childs life. Or if your female.

But I do recognize that mother's come in many shapes, and sizes, and forms, and even genders!

You are amazing for bringing a life into this world and caring for that individual with all your power. Or thank you for being there for someone. You have influenced someone's life and that is irreversible.

Thank you for all the wonderful things you do. Your job is the toughest one in the world but you pull through with flying colors.

Scariest Moment Of My Life

Hello gingers! I just had the most legit minecraft experience ever.

The Canadian went on a killing spree and Sydney and I had to hide and it was just the scariest thing ever. I even teleported to hell at one point and he still followed me! SO scary!

And now Sydney is brushing her teeth and things are about to get real. I'm actually typing these words secretly as my parents are asleep and I'm supposed to be asleep too.

But my mom doesn't read my blogs so it's okay. Shhh.

And that's how I'm spending my weekend. I saw the Avengers though. That was absolutely amazing by the way. I highly recommend it. Movie of the year by far.

I am totally geeking out over Captain America though. He's awesome.

How Lazy Can One Person Be?

Hello gingers! By the title of this blog you probably know that I'm not going to talk about yesterday today!

I just had a lazy type of day and I just don't really feel like doing anything. Doing things? That's ridiculous.

And I've been bummed out because I can't find my ipod and all. It really sucks that I lost it because it was basically my life. I used it for absolutely everything, and I mean everything. I didn't even realize how much I would miss it until it was gone. And now it's gone.

I feel like I looked everywhere for it but I'm still working on it. But right now I'm too tired.

I'm actually really tired. I laid in my bed and I knew I had to blog on the computer because I didn't have my ipod but I had to find the strength within me to get up and do it. Not in the mood to anything and I'm about to go to sleep like right now.

For The Music's Sake

Hello gingers! I'm really sorry about yesterday's blog! I did not know that was going to happen! Never again!

So I just came back from my last concert of 8th grade, my last concert of the year, and my last concert with the group I've grown to love for 2 years. It was also my orchestra's teachers last concert.

She's retiring and it's really cool! But also sad. i already broke down on stage and I don't need to do it again!

It was just the best thing ever and I'm so proud of my section and my orchestra! I'm proud of everything we accomplished this year and even if we go our separate ways I will never forget them! I love you guys!

It was just amazing. Words cannot describe. But that's tomorrows blog.

Jumprope

Hello gingers! And yep Shelby I'm writing a blog about this. Just to let you know.

So today I had a thing called "Fitness Finals" whic is basically where the people who made it to the record board on certain events get to face off and see who is the overall school champion.

My event is Jumprope and that is seriously the one and only thing I'm good at in gym.

So I was so nervous going into the fitness finals because I knew that there were some people going into it who did better than me previously. I was really nervous.

But I won! I was the best female in my school with 190 jumps per minute. It was really cool and just awesome to win I guess because it's not like I can do good in any other thing. Jumprope is seriously my only thing haha.

So it was a very successful day and everything is all just super cool. Life is good guys. Life is good.

You Know Your A Hipster When You Write A Song About Rain

Hello gingers! I don't consider myself much of a hipster but when I play guitar and sig songs about rain and clouds and sunshine I definitely feel like a hipster.

But if it's for a video I guess it's worth it. I'm trying to step up my game with the comedy. My newest video is probably gonna be some type of wheezy waiter thing. I think thats pretty cool.

I have some ideas of what I'm going to do. And I think it's going to be pretty good. If I can pull it off. And if mom will let me use her new fancy camera.

So that's my life. But I have been further researching cameras and I'm getting pretty serious. But I will take any help I can get. Just help me out guys. That's all I'm asking for.

Rainy Days

Hello gingers! Today has been a rainy one is Colorado!

It sucks because I didn't get to see the supermoon last nigh but it will come again!

I can wait!

But I love the rain. I love the smell, and just the feeling. And I used to not like it here because it would be like rain for 2 seconds and then it would snow. In Arizona we used to get like huge monsoons and those were just awesome.

But right now it's actually raining and it's really cool. I've had the windows open and a fan on all day so that when I go in my room it's like an icebox. It's pretty dang cool.

But it's a rainy day. Don't fret I've already written a song about it. And it's my first like real son and I'm proud of it. Its like a real song. Im going to put it on the Mai channel I think on Tuesday. But I'm not very good at making promises to the Internet.

The only thing is that rain gives me headaches sometimes. But other than that it's beautiful!

Happy Cinco De Mayo!

Hello gingers! You guys are probably off getting crunched on virgin margaritas aren't you?

Of course you are. You naughty gingers.

But anyways it's Cinco De Mayo today and that's really cool! You may or may not know this but I'm originally from Arizona so my life has been heavily influenced by Mexican culture. I feel like it's really important to embrace your past and your heritage and where you came from because you couldn't be the person you are today without it.

Respect and acknowledge your past because without it, your present day means nothing.

So my family celebrated a little for Cinco De Mayo and we had Mexican Spoon Bread and el bondigas for dinner. It was delightful and it was a fun holiday.

My parents aren't really drinkers though so I didn't get any virgin margaritas and that makes me mad. But whatever. I'll celebrate when I'm older.

Forgive And Forget

Hello gingers! I spent a lot of time today looking at the stars and that felt absolutely wonderful.

I don't know what it is about Fridays that just makes me want to do nothing but I don't want to do anything right now. I don't even really feel like blogging but I'm doing it anyway. Because that's how much I care about you.

Today was the anniversary of a boys death. He went to our school and it was really hard for us last year. And today marks one year.

But some people were down in the dumps and it is very upsetting but forgive and forget is my motto. Life is too short to be sulking over thongs that we couldn't have changed. Life is full of them.

But today is also May The 4th so that's a thing. I showed my social studies teacher the star wars acapella and he did not appreciate it as much as I did. That made my day a little worse but whatever. It happens.

Letters Of Thanks

Hello gingers! It's almost the end of the year!

I know I've said this a lot but it's completely true. This summer is going to freaking rock! Videos all the time, fun things all the time. It's just going to be the mos awesome thing in the world and I'm really, really excited.

Because it's almost the end of the year an we have about 2 and a half weeks left, I've started to write letters to some of my favorite teachers. I think they're pretty cool. They're basically thanking them for all the hard work they do and all the awesome joy and memories they have given me. Especially teachers who are retiring and teachers who just made my 8th grade year and my life pretty awesome.

It's important to appreciate people in your life, and it's especially important to appreciate those who teach you and motivate you and inspire you and make you a better person. Teachers have always done that for me and now that I'm leaving 8th grade and middle school in general it's really important.

Teachers make the future. Thank one of them.

1 And Done

Hello gingers! I am making it my goal to vlog on my second channel more!

It's kind of been in the dust lately considering my last video was like a month ago. I want to bring that channel back to life because I feel like I can just be myself a little bit more on that channel. I can just talk without any editing or being scripted about my life and thongs going on. I get to show the world me for about 3 minutes and that's pretty cool.

I actually was motivated to get thongs done today. That rarely ever happens. This is really the last important thing I have to do today. My homework is done, and everything is just all chill. It's probably because I didn't go on skype today and I only crafted for about a half an hour.

So this is really all I have to do. 1 and done.

We did a workout today and my gym teacher would say 1 and done and it just motivated me a lot. So I though I would use it in today's blog. What motivates you?

You know what motivates me? Sleep. And I'm going to get some of that.

It's Finally Done
